5 star rating Gluten free breakfast - great value Great spot along the main drag with a view of the bay. So convenient and affordable we went back for a second breakfast. The eggs and sides were gluten free for the Sugarplum, and nice size portions, we could skip lunch and roll until dinner .I maybe should have skipped the sausage and biscuits with eggs for me, but oh my, they were so good. staff was very friendly and accommodating, and rescued my sunglasses. - 4 days ago

5 star rating Outstanding Food and Service! Outstanding Food and Service! The clam chowder and bloody marys were the best and the added Dungeness crab to the chowder and shrimp to the bloody mary topped off the meal. The respect for active military and veterens was beyond reproach. Our server "Tobi" is 5 star!!! - 1 week ago

5 star rating Unforgettable Poke Nachos with Super Fresh Ahi Tuna I had the poke nachos and they were incredible! I'm not a seafood person at all, but if I can get really fresh, raw ahi tuna, I can enjoy it. I figured the tuna should be fresh, considering the location, so it was worth a try. It turned out to be absolutely delicious, and one of my favorite meals of my trip to Hawaii. The poke is served on nacho-shaped, lightly-fried wontons and covered in furikake, sriracha, salsa fresca, an avocado aioli. Just the right amount of spice, full of flavor, and light at the same time. Not a bit of fishiness. The tuna was very fresh. - 1 week ago

5 star rating Fish Hopper has good food and a great view of Kona Bay. A very nice seafood restaurant right on the ocean with a great view of Kona Bay. It is open air. It opens early for breakfast, with great crab eggs Benedict and stays open for lunch and dinner. We ate there for breakfast and for dinner .Breakfast is served until 11 am. I had the local fresh catch of the day for dinner. There is free parking in the back. - 1 month ago

5 star rating Amazing food and service My husband and I went here for our big honeymoon dinner. We got the steak platter and the food was phenomenal. Our waiter, Nico, was attentive and personable. The assistant general manager came by our table as well and made us feel so welcome to the town/island. It was an amazing experience we will never forget. Thank you so much to the staff, we’ll be coming back for our anniversary one day! - 1 month ago

5 star rating Highly Recommended This place was highly recommended by a local shop attendant and we now highly recommend it, too. Everything we had was delicious! We had a great view of the water. Beware mystery cost of the Special Menu. We were ok with splurging, but I suggest checking out the Market price cost before purchasing. All three of us loved everything we tried. So good! - 1 month ago

4 star rating Nice Dinner We had an enjoyable dinner at this restaurant on our first night in Kona. Reception was welcoming and efficient. She promptly seated us as soon as she confirmed our reservation. Wait staff introduced himself and served water. He gave us ample time to get settled and go over the menu. Their wine list is decent. The fried calamari was tender, sweet, and lightly breaded. Their house salad was crisp and fresh. Enough to share between 2 people. We enjoyed our main dish- Dungeness crab, shrimps, and scallops. The seafood was delicious! We shared a Lilikoi cheesecake. This was well worth the extra calories. Service was excellent. Staff gave us enough time between courses. They refilled water glasses and cleared dishes as needed. Overall, it was a nice and relaxing dinner. - 1 month ago

5 star rating Our Best Big Island Meal This was our best meal over nine days on the Big Island. No question. First of all, the staff. From the minute we walked in the door, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We felt it was genuine hospitality and that they were glad to have us there. Our server, Jarmyn, was a delight. From menu recommendations to brief conversation when she'd come to the table, this was one of those times when the server enhanced the meal. We loved having her as part of the experience. Even our busser Jack was a super nice guy who was happy to tell us about his favorite desserts when we asked. Lovely people all the way around. Now, the food. Fantastic. They have a phenomenal drink menu featuring traditional and island cocktails. Extensive wine list, too. The menu has something for everyone. I'm allergic to shellfish but I had no problem finding plenty of options. The poke nachos are a delicious appetizer. So fresh. And the grilled Ono was perfection. I wish we'd had a chance to go back a second time before heading home. But next time we're in Kailua-Kona, we will definitely be coming back here. - 2 months ago

5 star rating Casual dining with a view We ate here twice during the 4 day stay in Kona. The service was spectacular and there’s a nice selection of food. Very pretty presentation and you can’t beat the view of the beautiful coastline just across the street. It’s an opened aired restaurant with a nice casual, island vibe. We will definitely go there again when we are back on the Big Island for sure - 2 months ago
