Great food and awesome view of the sunset! 
Restaurant was full and very beautiful and inviting! Our table was ocean front and setting gorgeous! Our hostess and Manager Kathleen was so amazing! She let us know all about the specials and recommended some signature cocktail that they offered. I enjoyed my fish tacos so did a friend Kathleen recommended the blackened mahi mahi sandwich which our other friend loved! Our waiter so great with very good service and friendly. Can’t wait to go again it was so great we spent over two hours enjoying our cocktail, lunch, views and dessert. Thanks for a great time I give it the best in Kona! 
What a great dining experience. We made reservations and were seated at a table overlooking the ocean. The hostess was very efficient in getting us seated and the servers were very attentive throughout the meal. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. Very fresh and delicious. You have to leave room for dessert at this place. They don't bring out a dessert menu, they bring out a tray with all the desserts, making it impossible to say no. In my opinion, the best restaurant in the town of Kona. 
Get food and staff. Really great price for locals. 
Excellent location on water. Great atmosphere. Food was excellent. Shrimp and pasta was delicious. Hawaiian pork was on point. Drinks were to die for. 
Went over for breakfast this morning since it was close to our hotel. Nice place, with good views of the ocean. Basic breakfast menu, and my wife & I both had the coconut macadamia nut French Toast, which was good. Rita was our server, and she was OK; could have been more attentive. Prices are par for the course for the island, and overall, it was a good meal. 
Touring Kona, and after consulting TripAdvisor for a lunch venue, we decided to dine at the Fish Hopper adjacent to Kailua Bay where the restaurant touts its ocean-to-plate menu. We were not disappointed in the quality of fish being served, nor were we disappointed in service during a very busy afternoon meal. If we ever return to Kona for any length of time, the Fish Hopper certainly would be on our itinerary. Recommended. 
We have been to Kona, Hawaii, twice now, and we have gone to The Fish Hopper 3 times in our 3 weeks there. The service is amazing, the atmosphere, being on the main drive with an ocean view, just can't be beat, and their food is always fresh and delicious. They made sure the ice water and coffee were always topped up. I can't wait to go back and experience it all over again. The breakfast deal is great and tastes amazing! 
While on a cruise stop in Kona our tour guide recommended The Fish Hopper for some good seafood. After our tour we walked back downtown and had some delicious coconut shrimp and fish and chips. Everything was hot, flavorful, and delicious. Service was a little slow but they were also packed. Great location. 
This was hands down the best fish we had on our trip. It was a bit pricey, but worth it!
