A Family Tradition Since 1950
A Family Tradition Since 1950
The late Sabu Shake, Sr. was a hands-on restaurateur who founded the Old Fisherman’s Grotto. In addition to his daily trips to procure fresh ingredients from local fisherman, cattlemen and produce farmers, Sabu was master of the kitchen and dining room. He was as enthusiastic in tending to his guests as he was his gardens. Today, Sabu’s sons Chris & Sabu J.R. continue in their father’s footsteps, serving innovative, internationally-inspired cuisine in an atmosphere of superb, genuine hospitality. They pride themselves on still serving local, sustainable seafood and fresh local produce. They continue to honor our uniformed military and veterans at all of their restaurants, with a complimentary appetizer and dessert, and a flag placed on their table in recognition of their service .
